Hi! My name is Myisha. You probably already guessed it, but I am a very, very, very big Usher fan. Not only is he sexy and talented but he is also kind and has a good personality. Well, I decided to make this site after seeing all the cool Usher sites all over the web. I decided it was about time to make my own. "Dedicated to Usher, From Myisha", is just a site where ya can kick back, relax, and catch up on all the exciting Usher news and gossip. Oh! I am also the Newzletter Recruiter for "Da Usher Connection" newzletter. I know that ya probably wonderin' what that is. Well, DUC is a newzletter about the hottest guy in R&B: Usher Raymond. It fills ya in on all the Usher news&gossip. There are also fun contests that ya can enter in and polls. Its cool because since their are soo many people who contribute to making it, someone is bound to find out what magazines or shows Usher will appear in. Well just to letcha know a little about myself: I'm a 16-year-old female high school student. I'm from: Kansas City, MO but temporarliy living in New Mixico 'cause father is in military(I was living in Japan:)! I love : listening to R&B and Hip Hop, searching the Web, meeting new people, playing B-ball, talking with my family, traveling,singing, shopping, going to the movies, just hangin' out w/ my friends, listening to Usher, watchin' Usher, talkin' 'bout Usher, readin' about Usher,(to tell ya the truth, I Just LOVE USHER!!:) I hate: Rock music, stuck up people, brats, annoying people, expensive things, being grounded, when I go a whole day without listening to Usher, getting bad grades My fav. foods: Mexican, Soul Food, Chinese, carmel candies, gummie bears, reeses peanut butter cups, ice cream, fresh oranges, grapes, slice pops My Goals: to become a biologist or pediatrician, to become a part time singer, to become Usher's wife:), to succeed in whatever I do. (*remeber: this is just a very breif description of Ushers life) | Usher Raymond IV was born on October 14, 1978 in Dallas Texas. He was raised in Chattanooga, Tennesse by Jonnetta, a former office manager(she and his dad, Usher RaymondIII, split when Usher was just a baby.) Usher started singing in church when he was about 8 yr. When Usher was 12, he, his mother, and younger brother moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue Usher's career as a singer. At 14, the church choirboy became the 1993 singing champion on the now-defunct TV talent show STAR SEARCH. Soon after, Usher signed with LaFace Records, an Atlanta-based label. On this album, Usher worked with Puffy and other well-known writers and producers. About halfway through recording, Usher hit puberty, and his voice started to change. Usher's 15th year also brought acne. However, Usher worked tirelessly to retrain his voice so that he could complete his first album. But when it was released in 1994, Usher barely made a dent on the Billboard charts. After his first album's dissapointing performance, Usher felt alone and unsure of where to turn. At 15, the singer seemed to be losing his career before it even got started. But L.A. Reid kept the faith and convinced anther producer, Jermaine "JD" Dupri, to meet with the fledgling singer. JD liked what he heard. With a new producer and a new, deeper voice, Usher needed just one more thing- a new image. With the help of a stylist- who introduced him to his signature skull cap- a choreographer, and a hard-core workout regimen, the teen shed his baby fat and transformed himsilf into a lean, mean sex symbol. The efforts paid off. His first single("You Make Me Wanna...")raced up the charts, soon followed by the album, My Way, and two more singles. Suddenly, Usher was thrust into the spotlight as an international pop sensation. So hopefully, ya'll see why Usher is the best. Even though he went through some rough times, he never gave up and managed to still get on top!! Keep up the good work Usher. You deserve the best. Much love!
